EMOTIVE WORLDS
Within my project I explored the concept of expressing different feelings and emotions through visually interpreting them as conceptual metaphorical imagery. Referencing from my own emotional experiences and thoughts.

I decided to choose 4 different emotions I felt close to which were love, hope, loneliness, and worry. For my final outcome I created a 16-page mixed media picture book containing a series of illustrations in response to an emotive metaphorical sentence that relates to each emotion. My book focuses on the visualisation of these feelings/emotions by mirroring them through the combination of mark making, specific colour palettes, figure poses, compositions, and typography, to convey these emotions/feelings.

Emotive Figure Drawings: Using figure poses that evoke chosen emotions and drawing them in different gestural/emotive ways. Incorporating previous mark making and colour explorations from my research to mirror and convey emotions of love, hope, loneliness and worry.
Love: There is an unbreakable string that bounds us together.
Hope: Letting loose and staying afloat within the fireworks of hope.
Loneliness: Being consumed by black strands feeding off emptiness in your body.
Worry: Your own unconscious self locks you from the opportunity to set yourself free.
